Our Regular Wild School Sessions

We are currently running our weekly Wild School session 'Sprouts.'

Sprouts is for children of 5 years and under (accompanied by a responsible adult) and runs in term time on Tuesdays between 10am and 12pm. The format is largely based around free-play with an opening circle, songs and closing circle.

We provide an optional structured activity but children are free and encouraged to wander through the woodland and find their own magic. Playing in the mud kitchen or Wendy house, relaxing in the hammock, sailing the Good Ship Whimsy on the high seas or simply exploring, being and connecting to the woodland and its inhabitants.

Our site has mains water and compost toilet. Our hearth is always roaring and our kettle always ready for action!

There is a snack provided within the cost for the children, usually 'stick bread', cooked fresh on the fire (by the children if they wish). Hot drinks are available for adults on a donation basis. The session costs £13 per child aged 2-5 years and £9 for under 2 years (babies are free).
Our facilitator Elena has extensive knowledge and tools to support the learning environment and to help learners to understand their place and impact within the natural world.
Sessions need to be booked and paid for in advance. We offer the opportunity to attend a single session to start with and if you decide you would like to keep attending, we ask that you sign up for a half-term block, which is also paid for in advance.

These blocks are usually 6 weeks long. Spaces are currently limited to 12 children per session, so if you wish to ensure a place, book via this link. https://eequ.org/experience/1453 or email Elena on [email protected]

"...I was sold when Ellie said "wow, I’ve never seen such a beautiful view" on the way up, and Whimsy Wood definitely didn’t disappoint!
I particularly appreciated how positively you interacted with each child, really encouraging them to think and explore for themselves..."
~ Rosie

"...We just wanted to say the biggest of thank you for today's fantastic session, Rylee doesn’t often show his emotions but I think we could all tell exactly how much he enjoyed today, and I honestly can’t tell you how much that means to me! The warm welcome and inclusivity that we both instantly felt was amazing and I’m so grateful...."
