What is occupational therapy for children?
Occupational therapy helps you live your best life.
We see beyond diagnoses and limitations, to hopes and aspirations.
We see the whole person, what matters to them and the environment and people around them.
Children's occupational therapy help babies, children and young people grow, learn, have fun, socialise and play so they can develop, thrive and reach their potential. Occupational therapists assess child development using a variety of standardised tools, clinical observations and play. Our therapeutic interventions build on improving engagement, attention, cognition, motor skills, sensory processing, emotional-regulation, self-care and independence to maximise overall mental and physical health.
Occupational therapy is a science-based, health and social care profession that is regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council.
